OUR HISTORY
The Cavallino's bond with Merano's history is evident from the first glance, thanks to the ancient fresco of St. Urban-the patron saint of wine and coopers-that stands prominently on the wall of the restaurant. From a tavern for the staff, the Cavallino grew into a cozy hotel with a restaurant and, in the 1960s, won the hearts of customers by becoming one of the city's most popular pizzerias. Located near the Maia Bassa train station and across the street from the Maia racetrack, the Cavallino is a landmark for horse lovers.
